MORNING SESSION

What a joyful afternoon it was! Our Hi 5 SEN Mid-Autumn Festival at Brunch Balakong brought together children, parents and teachers for festive treats, fun games and creative moon-themed crafts. Everyone gathered for a warm group photo to mark the occasion, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, from our children to their families and teachers.

No Mid-Autumn celebration is complete without mooncakes and sweet treats! The children and their parents gathered around the table to choose their favourites and enjoy them together. Parents sat side by side with their little ones, sharing snacks and simply enjoying each other's company. Moments like these remind us that celebrations are really about being together.

Next came the games! With support from our teachers, the children took on a tyre ball challenge that practised focus, coordination and following instructions. They also tried the balance beam, carefully stepping across while holding a ball, and walked across mats while carrying a ball in a cup. Challenges like these help build balance, body awareness and confidence. Every child took their turn at their own pace while friends and teachers cheered them on, and every step forward was celebrated.

For the craft session, the children decorated a bunny with soft cotton balls, inspired by the rabbit in the Mid-Autumn legend. It was a lovely sensory activity that also supports fine motor skills. We also created moon-themed artwork together, with the children sitting side by side with their teachers and parents, colouring, sticking and creating their own beautiful masterpieces.

Thank you to Brunch Balakong for hosting us, and to all the families who joined the celebration. We look forward to making more happy memories together!
