When’s the right time to start supporting a child who’s not speaking, struggling to focus, or seems behind in milestones?
The answer: as early as possible.
That’s the foundation of an Early Intervention Program (EIP); a structured, evidence-based approach that provides developmental support for children aged 2–6 who are showing signs of delay in communication, motor skills, cognition, behavior, or social interaction.
What is EIP and Why Is It Important?
Early Intervention Programs are specially designed to support young children during the most critical window of brain development — the first few years of life. Research shows that timely intervention not only helps a child catch up but also prevents long-term struggles in school and everyday life (Dawson et al., 2010).
EIP combines multiple therapies and teaching strategies to address core areas like:
Language and communication
Fine and gross motor skills
Cognitive and pre-academic readiness
Social-emotional development
Self-help and independence
At its heart, EIP is not about fixing a child; it’s about giving them the right support to thrive on their own terms.
What Makes HI 5 SEN Different?
At HI 5 SEN, we deliver EIP in small group settings — and that’s by design. While many centers focus heavily on 1-to-1 intervention, we’ve found that small, guided groups provide the perfect balance of structure, peer modeling, and real-world social learning.
In our EIP classes, your child will:
✅ Learn side-by-side with peers in a safe, low-ratio environment
✅ Receive individualised attention from experienced special educators
✅ Practice turn-taking, following instructions, and sharing space
✅ Build confidence by observing and learning from others
✅ Develop school readiness skills naturally through play-based routines
Whether your child is non-verbal, socially withdrawn, or has mild delays, our programs are tailored to support where they are — and guide them to where they can go.
What Happens After EIP?
Junior School Readiness Program
For children who have completed EIP and are ready for the next stage, we offer a specialised Junior School Readiness Program — a structured, goal-based program that bridges the gap between intervention and school transition.
This program focuses on:
🎒 Academic readiness (pre-literacy, numeracy, classroom routines)
🧠 Executive function and self-regulation
👫 Group work, task completion, and following multi-step instructions
🎤 Functional communication and expressive language
📘 Exposure to school-like settings with increasing structure
Many of our students who complete this program move on to inclusive classrooms, mainstream kindergartens, or special education settings with greater independence and confidence.
🌟 At HI 5 SEN, we believe early help isn’t just about therapy — it’s about giving your child a head start in life.
